About Rural City of Murray Bridge:
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is a local government area in South Australia with a population of approximately 17,000 people. The council is responsible for managing a variety of services, including roads, waste management, parks and gardens, and community events. In order to streamline their digital assets and improve their communication strategies, the council decided to implement HIVO's digital asset management software.
To address these challenges, ECC decided to implement HIVO’s digital asset management software, which is specifically built for educational institutions. HIVO is a cloud-based software that provides a centralized platform for storing, organizing, and sharing digital assets. ECC began using HIVO in 2020, and since then, they have realized the following benefits set out below.
Onboarding HIVO Digital Asset Management
The implementation process began with an assessment of the council's existing digital asset management practices and folder structure. HIVO's support team worked with key council staff to review a hard drive of provided assets and understand their needs and challenges, as well as identify opportunities for improvement. The team also conducted a thorough audit of the council's existing digital assets, including images, videos, and documents, removed duplicates and cleaned data before uploading.
Based on their findings, HIVO recommended a customized account configuration for the Rural City of Murray Bridge that would enable them to store, organize, and manage their digital assets in a central repository. The folder structure and collections of the account have been designed to mimic the councils previous local storage filing system to allow council staff to easily search, access, and share their digital assets with other departments, as well as external partners and stakeholders and to mini mise downtime during the transition to HIVO.
Key Benefits of HIVO
One of the key benefits of the HIVO digital asset management software is the ability to quickly and easily create and distribute branded content. With HIVO’s brand guidelines software, council staff can now easily access approved logos, and design assets to use in their communications and marketing materials. This has helped to maintain consistency and ensure that all content is on-brand.
In addition to improving their internal processes, the HIVO software also allowed the council to improve access to their library of digital assets. The software enabled the council to easily share high-quality images and videos of local events, activities, and infrastructure projects on their website and social media channels. This helped to increase community engagement and foster a sense of pride and ownership in the local area.
Overall, the implementation of HIVO's digital asset management software has been a success for the Rural City of Murray Bridge. The software has enabled the council to streamline their digital asset management practices, improve their communication strategies, and increase access to their library of digital assets. With the software in place, the council is now better equipped to effectively manage their digital assets and maintain a strong brand image.
