Lotterywest use of HIVO as a Brand Portal and for Digital Asset Management:

Lotterywest migrated its digital content from a legacy repository into HIVO for a single source of truth that will scale with the company's growth, allowing for sharing of all digital assets between business units, third parties and staff working from home during COVID-19. HIVO will also provide control and protection over all access to Lotterywest’s valuable IP with the ability to link talent release forms and license agreements to assets.

In addition to the scalability and security offered by HIVO, the platform provides a rapid increase in availability uptime (being accessible from anywhere in the cloud as opposed to a previous local system which required installation on licenses on individual computers), system reliability, and protection against file transfer failures.

Lotterywest’s creative, marketing and design teams are now able to achieve enterprise-grade version control and collaboration in support of all production management initiatives. Adopting HIVO will improve operational efficiencies across teams and accelerate time to market of its market leading gaming campaigns and communication of grant assistance with it’s community partners and NFP organisations. Included within Lotterywest’s HIVO account are logos’, artwork, photos, videos and all other digital assets used by it’s creative and communications teams.

Lotterywest Brand Guidelines:

Lotterywest recognised the need to continually transform and evolve its digital, IT and development systems. The company required a next generation brand platform to easily create, manage and share digital versions of it’s brand style guide.

HIVO was the perfect fit with a high-performance distributed cloud based architecture capable of moving design files, artwork and logos between different company departments at high speeds and providing accessibility to users from anywhere with an internet connection, including those working from home during COVID-19.

URL links can now easily be generated for each Lotterywest brand guideline and shared with those who require access to the latest approved versions of assets. Usage and downloads can also be reviewed via HIVO’s reporting function and users can be prompted to provide a reason for use upon download.

HIVO’s Indesign Extension:

A key attraction of HIVO for Lotterywest was the ability to utilise HIVO’s Indesign extension tool allowing it’s graphic designers to easily browse it’s HIVO library directly from within the Adobe Indesign platform. Other features of HIVO’s Indesign extension allow Lotterywest users to:

  • Browse folders and image files you have access to. User permissions that exist in HIVO are mirrored within the Indesign plug-in;
  • Allow users to select and work with multiple versions of assets. For example a low resolution asset can be used in a working project to maintain a high working speed within Indesign. Then, when the user is ready to print a document or project, they can then easily download the high resolution or original versions to ensure maximum quality

  • Work with all common image file formats, including: tiff, gif, jpg, jpeg, bmp, eps, png, ai, eps, psd;
  • Open a supported asset as a new document in InDesign; and
  • Upload or update documents and assets into IntelligenceBank directly from the HIVO connector. Any document or asset opened via the HIVO extension, will remain tied to its original entry in HIVO, making it easy to push changes back, either as a replacement or new version.
