AgriFutures is a proud Australian statutory corporation setup by the federal government to invest in research, leadership, innovation and learning across Australia’s agricultural sector. AgriFutures performs R&D for established industries and works to attract and help train agriculturalists and future rural leaders by engaging in research into important issues for the sector and helping to develop the potential of new industries.
Aligned in a shared mission to capacity build the R&D and technology initiatives of Australian businesses, HIVO’s software provides AgriFutures the opportunity to centralise and scale the output of it’s digital communications, research publications and corporate collateral to support both internal and external stakeholder workflows
HIVO’s Digital Asset Management features will create a central source of truth for all AgriFutures digital assets, providing lightning discoverability via HIVO’s cutting edge search engine functionality and asset library. Down stream content management platforms such as Microsoft Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Cloud and Wordpress will also be integrated.
By implementing HIVO, AgriFutures plans to unite staff and teams across it’s communications, management and operations by significantly reducing the time spent creating, finding and sharing digital assets. With an effective digital asset management strategy, AgriFutures hopes to reduce the total cost of ownership of assets, increase content output, and ensure that more IP and workflow information created by it’s staff is retained right across the entire content creation lifecycle.
AgriFutures Australia is part of an emerging trend in the importance and preference to partner with Australian technology companies in pursuit of its mission to support primary industries in the agriculture vertical.
HIVO’s CEO WIlliam Kaye mirrored these sentiments by explaining that Australian companies have an active choice to buy local in their software procurement processes:
"The gap has now been closed in terms of the feature set and levels of support on offer from many local technology providers vs legacy international players. Australia’s tech and software community is thriving.
Not only is the quality of home grown technology platforms now world-class, the benefits of local support, data sovereignty and a better understanding of the localised issues surrounding data security, management and collaboration means that Australian companies are best placed to ensure the digital transformation of Australian companies continues to accelerate into the future."
